We were delighted to promote the opportunities available with NHS Highland and in particular the new National Treatment Centre – Highland at the recent Royal College of Nursing Congress in Glasgow.
New clinical leadership team appointed for NTC
We are delighted to announce that our new clinical leadership team has been put in place to lead our NTC.
Colin McNair will have oversight of clinical leads and governance issues as new Clinical Director, while Fiona Grist takes up the role of Clinical Nurse Manager, responsible for all clinical nurses, theatres, and wards.
Recruiting At Glasgow Healthcare Job Fair
Colleagues from our National Treatment Centre were in attendance at the most recent Glasgow Healthcare Job Fair which took place in April. Deborah Jones, Director of Strategic Commissioning, and Carrie Lonnen, Senior Charge Nurse for the National Treatment Centre, were joined by Fiona Hogg, our Director of People and Change, and Mary Urquhart, Medical Staffing Officer, to chat to those attending on the day about all thing NHS Highland.
Welcome Donna Smith!
NTC Commissioning and Performance Manager
We're delighted Donna Smith has joined the NTC Project team as NTC Commissioning and Performance Manager.
Upcoming positions and international recruitment
We’re delighted to announce almost 20% of the workforce for the NTC has been recruited so far. A rolling programme of recruitment is in place to attract perioperative teams and AHPs to support our wards, while interviews are planned for both Ward Healthcare Support Workers and our Clinical Nurse Manager later this month.
Have your say! What do you want to see from the NTC?
Consultation and engagement
At the beginning of 2021, we asked staff set to be involved in the NTC about their hopes and aspirations for the centre and what barriers, if any, there were to realising this.
